a further article on Japanese restarts . I understand why people are sick of this stock and selling, but I'm still a buyer . I maybe gullible but I'm not giving up . Certainly not near what may be the bottom of a whole industry down turn.
Japan Nuclear Reactors’ Status, Restart Application: Table
By Masumi Suga Feb 21, 2014 1:34 PM GMT+1000 0 Comments Email Print
The table below shows the nuclear power plant owners that have applied to restart reactors closed for safety checks following the Fukushima nuclear accident.
The table excludes reactors written off in the disaster. It includes reactor types, original start dates, current state of operations and dates of restart applications to the Nuclear Regulation Authority. Capacities are given in megawatts.
The regulator has declined to give any dates for approving safety improvements at reactors or naming plants that are further along in the safety assessments. It has said that no approvals will be given this fiscal year, which ends March 31.
Of Japan’s 48 operable reactors, applications for restarts have been made for 17.
Boiling water reactors (BWR), including advanced boiling water reactors (ABWR), must install filtration vents before restarting. Pressurized water reactors (PWR) are required to install the vents within five years after resuming operations.
