No he can not, as long as we live in a democracy and we continue to properly educate our young. Nd yea mant people, unfortunately, are subject to influence. But yes, we must always be wary of those who desire to impose their will on the people. I have seen it and,at times been subjected to it, in the workplace all too often, which, at one time, enabled an offender to steal money from my then employer. The other executives who were domiciled in the USA were arrogant and stupid, which enabled the thief to escape to a country (Mexico from a distant memory) with which the USA. where he was employed at that time, had no extradition treaty. Whilst I can't say that I saw it coming, I was never at ease in his presence and was not totally surprised when it happened as I could not understand how he had reached such a senior level in the corporation Every year the Auditors qualified the Annual Accounts to note the danger of only requiring one signature, but to no avail. So it was goodbye to the executive and the corporation's money!

Not sure what your thieving workmate has to do with the debate, diligent. On the education point Morrison and the Libs are doing a very poor job, given the cost and manipulation of higher education system.
