Well there are no commercially available utility type small reactors at this stage apart from tiny ones.
They might be available at proven cost by somewhere between 2023 and 2040.
My thinking is that Australian state governments will most likely subsidise the maintenance costs of existing coal fired plant to keep them going over the medium term.
Maybe they will move to being available as backup generation on those few hot days of the year.
We might see more flexible gas fired generators being built along with battery storage.
Technologies that are already available at known cost.
