"we should look after our own work force first.". ........ I agree that we should look after, promote job security, wages and ability to thrive, in a competitive economy..... but how was immigration damaging "our own workforce"? Instead immigration was supporting employment by creating increased demand for goods and services. Why else would conservative Govt maintain immigration at 250,000 pa if it was harming either our economy or our workforce?
Nothing in the post shows how or why Hanson was correct so I'm asking you to show me what economic have developed since immigration was cut due to covid..... not at all a voluntary decision by Govt but a matter of securing our borders against a great wave of infection.
