I'm not familiar specifically with that aspect of Ray's system, but I enjoy his philosophical approach to investing and synthesizing historical and localized macro inputs to locate market cycles and hypothesize emerging themes. Although a little disappointed he become a bit of a short sighted sycophant toward the Chinese Government - a habit picked up long after the rest of corporate America moved their production lines to an ideologically incompatible economy / system of governance.
