How many of those things can be done effectively by someone at work? Sure you can set the washing machine or dishwasher to turn on while you're away(which is next to no real electricity usage), kinda hard to charge the car that's with you at work, kinda hard to cook dinner while you're at work, kinda pointless to run the aircon while you're at work.
What sort of muppet are you? Maybe we should ban gas stoves to stop the radiant heat from escaping and warming the atmosphere?
