Looks like we have a lawsuit between Capilano Honey and Mr Mulvany.

To all of our loyal followers:
We have been contacted by a number of you expressing concern about a recent post on ‪#‎SaveTheBeesAustralia‬ discussing legal action between Simon Mulvany and Capilano Honey. We feel it is now time to share our side of the story, so that you can be part of an open and balanced discussion which is grounded in facts.
While we firmly believe in freedom of speech and welcome all customer feedback and industry debate, we are in a position where we need to counter negative and factually incorrect assertions and accusations made by Mr Simon Mulvany of Save The Bees Australia. As you may or may not know, Mr Mulvany is a vocal campaigner on bee health and wellbeing in Australia. For this we commend and support him.
However, of late Mr Mulvany has taken to his social channels to spread unfounded and defamatory information about the Capilano business and how we operate. Whilst we fully believe that he has a right to voice his concerns, we have tried on numerous occasions to engage him directly to correct the misinformation on his Facebook page. Just this week, I met with him at our Manuka plant in Evans Head and we spoke at length about a number of issues. Despite his willingness to meet in person, we remain blocked from engaging on his social platforms meaning his friends and followers are not afforded the opportunity to take part in an informed discussion. Sadly, this means that our side - and the side of more than 500 beekeeping families across Australia - remains untold.
As such, Mr Mulvany’s decision to continue his campaign against Capilano Honey over a prolonged period of time led us to take legal action, as it was the only remaining avenue to correct the barrage of misinformation. For us, this was an absolute last resort and was not a course of action we had ever wished to take.
That said, we believe it is important for all the facts to be put on the table, so that everyday families can make informed decisions about the products they choose to purchase. We ask Mr Mulvany to unblock Capilano Honey from the #SaveTheBeesAustralia page and refrain from deleting our posts, so that a fair and considered discussion can be had.
Capilano Honey is dedicated to safeguarding the future of Australia’s bee population and their welfare is of paramount importance to our daily operations. We have been committed to maintaining the highest quality standards across all of our operations for the past 60 years and we are very proud of the work we continue to do in supporting more than 500 beekeeping families across Australia. All Capilano branded honey sold in Australia is made from 100% pure Australian honey.
We genuinely welcome any queries into this matter and hope this open forum will finally enable us to share our side of the story.
    Regards,
    Ben McKee
    Managing Director at Capilano'
