I think we have enough information from this announcement to say that an outright takeover is not likely atm.
Surprised to hear "The Company" as one of the interested parties in MEL's 40% Gum Flat interest and that would explain the "independent discussions regarding raising of capital". If so, WHY are Lincoln interested in running the project solo, or do they have another suitor in the background, which could be one of the "3rd parties"?
Let's hope we don't get diluted!
Also, surprising that MEL would be thinking of handing over their interests just as developments are starting to take off and having been only to happy up until now to put up additional capital to fund the explorations at each stage.
Normally, based on this sort of news, i wouldn't be overly excited and maybe a little concerned even about dilution. However clearly a bit of insider trading y/day and would have to think the news will be positive based on the heavy sp rise.
