Though BHP boss Marius Kloppers may be no prescious metals' fan, he is nonetheless holding on to Cannington Mine _ the world's biggest silver producer _ as he cleans out the odds and sods in BHP's cupboard.
BHP once owned Crater Mountain which it sold after making a fool of itself in PNG. It has now returned, setting up an office in Port Moresby.
Would it not be ironic that someday, after GOA has de-risked Crater, BHP buys back PNG's "next big thing".
