I have checked engine and chassis numbers with the car club.
They know the car in question and assure me that the car has never been in an accident or had any major work done to it.
They also tell me the same story as the finance co, as to why the car was repossesed.
Apparently the father in law stopped payments on the car after the young lad strayed.
Question: If the car was under a Hire Purchase agreement and some 80 odd grand was alrealdy paid, does anyone have any claim to this money?
Pardon my ignorance, just being cautious.
