This stock has been in a downtrend for almost two years while the resources sector is seeing its best return ever.

MMN is now trading at where they were five years ago.
Multiple capital raisings and shareholder dilutions with nothing to show for it.
Like it or not, this looks very much like a company in distress.

(and the brave will buy...)

Brave or misguided fools is the question.
Time will give us the answer.
