Rm,
you say,
Cult by correct philosophical definition is one of a christian belief and only pertaining to christian belief but has deviations from orthodoxy. Its not referring to voodoo etc
I say,
no it's not,
according to Webster,
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cult
cult
noun, often attributive \'k?lt\
: a small religious group that is not part of a larger and more accepted religion and that has beliefs regarded by many people as extreme or dangerous
: a situation in which people admire and care about something or someone very much or too much
: a small group of very devoted supporters or fans
So you see, it's NOT JUST CHRISTIAN.
and which branch of Christianity gets to decide which other one is orthodox and which one deviates from orthodoxy.
if anyone wants to call themselves a "Christian" which means a follower of Christ, then they should do as Christ did, and try to live a sin free life, which by definition, sin is the transgression of the law.( 1 John 3 4)
anyone not TRYING to keep the law as Christ kept it, belongs to a cult which has christian beliefs which have teachings that are deviations from the orthodox life that Christ led.
