In other words all is good? So why calmly reason with the student. You reason with the student because he is not telling the truth, he cant know Buddha is the greatest, he is sinning so should be corrected.


Buddha taught the path has 3 steps:

1. avoid sin (harm, evil)

2. do good

3. purify the mind


Not much different to what the Bible preaches, fear God/dont sin, be righteous charitable etc..., pray. There are sins in the mind/thoughts also that one must avoid (purify the mind)
