    faith is dead without works

faith that does not work is dead

in other words, work at giving it your best until the day that you die

    best what, exactly?

then when the time comes, you might actually know something rather than leaving with a lot of unanswered questions or regret that you didn't put a bit more effort in.

without a properly explained path, what & how can one come to know?

create your own religion that works - that is what the (phenomena of) gautama and many others did.

    wrong

Gautama realised reality & in realising reality this mind attained the unconditioned or uncreated state

Gautama did not 'create' anything, let alone 'create' his own religXion

by realising the true nature of conditioned things, Gautama simply penetrated the unconditioned state that was completely free from suffering

thus is body & mind ended its time with complete peace & understanding

confidence comes from putting 'it' into practice
what is 'it'? for starters, look for antidotes for greed, anger and delusion, and apply them, and then expand upon these.

once the mind is free from (self) delusion, there is nothing left to expand upon

the unconditioned state is the end & comes from ending delusion

all the best & remember Gautama said:

Better than sole sovereignty over the earth, better than going to heaven, better even than lordship over all the worlds is the supramundane Fruition of Stream Entrance.

so when will we join the communion of the Noble Ones?
