What was/is a 'day' to God? Days as we understand them wouldn't exist until the earth was rotating about the sun (at least after the 4th 'day') - so how long was that first 'day'? Perhaps the 'light' is the flash from the 'big bang' - now cooled to the primordial background microwave radiation.
