In the case of Narraburra it is possible that the opportunity presented itself and was considered to good to let go. Interestingly enough the junior explorer - Orange Minerals might also be seen at seizing the opportunity to participate also. We can only guess why?
The timing of capitalizing on rare earth's need is also perhaps why other exploration might be somewhat on the back burner.
I believe you may have an understanding of in ground values of minerals/metals/materials etc.
If you google "rare earths current value/ prices", which are in an upward trend, and if you look at the following (old) previously reported Mineral Resource Estimates which were classified as Inferred under JORC 2004, - even if you disregard any recent GRL results, you might believe that GRL are onto something promising and of course, we should have a real indication of the potential before the year ends.
- Narraburra has a previously reported a Mineral Resource Estimate of 73.2M tonnes at 1250g/t ZrO₂, 327g/t REO, 146g/t Y₂O₃, 126g/t Nb₂O₅, 45g/t HfO₂, 54g/t Ga₂O₃ and 118g/t Li₂O, which was classified as Inferred under JORC (2004) by its previous owner Capital Mining Limited (ASX: CMY) not the Company. This previously reported MRE may not conform to the requirements in the JORC Code 2012.
