I find no evidence or ability to identify if we humans have a soul so I have no position on this issue. 'Soul' has many interpretations and therefore has many interpretations. Ask a follower of Buddhism in its many forms, a Christian of Roman faith and New Age universalist and you get a different interpretation. Some as you suggest May not believe in the concept of soul at all.

Do we have a parallel world yet to be discovered, or are we on a journey to leave this world as mass exodus of higher souls are questions we can legitimately ask? I know of no religion that is universal and exists without telling its followers how to live their life journey and sacrifice their life for the faith they follow. Hence I believe the world would be better served without any religion for humanity to follow. It is simple logic to develop rules for coexistence that preserve the right to exist.
