"Gen 1:28 and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth," That remins me of an incident while I was in Oman. A woman was riding side saddle on a motorbike behind the rider holding on to hm with one hand and holding an infant wih the other. I commented to her: are you not concerned that you could easily drop the infant with fatal consequences. Her response was: No problem. We could easily make another to replace it. It seems that to God destroying most of creation is likewise no problem because God can easily replenish or replace most of it. The scale is different, but the principle is the same.
Hold onto your horses; if God did it once he can do it again, and some say that he said that he will.
