It was the fossil fuel people themselves who spread the fear amongst the general population about the dangers of nuclear in the first place, they have lobbied against Nuclear for a long time, they made no attempt to make direct comparisons about the benefits to humanity and the also the number of fatalities caused by all energy suppliers, perhaps these people tried though?
But nuclear does not get the same subsidies as fossil fuel suppliers or renewable sources do, hopefully that may change soon?
It may take a while but fossil fuel based stuff has to go.
