The governments of Greenland and Denmark were due to submit their defence around 12th February...
In the meantime they required ETM to submit their arrangements for legal osts and to also guarantee payment of legal osts to GoG/DK...
I am now assuming that win or lose the Greenlanders will want that money whether either way....

The case regarding the arbitration between the mining company Energy Transition Minerals (ETM) and Greenland/Denmark is now taking a new turn in a purely political sense.
In connection with the audit of the National Treasury's accounts for 2022, the Audit Committee has expressed a desire for a cover-up of the actual decision to reintroduce the uranium ban in autumn 2021.
The uranium ban plays a major role in the fact that ETM has filed arbitration proceedings and settled a gigantic claim for damages of DKK 76 billion. DKK
In connection with the processing of the accounts of the national treasury, the audit committee has had the Naalakkersuisoq for Business, Trade, Raw Materials, the Judiciary and Equality in consultation about the arbitration case - the consultation took place last week.
Did Inatsisartut have all the relevant information?
During the consultation, the Audit Committee would, among other things, have answers to whether Inatsisartut made legislation without having knowledge of all information regarding uranium legislation and possible consequences.
After the consultation, the Audit Committee wrote a report on 11 November, in which the committee wants further disclosure of the matter:

- The audit committee wants a disclosure of the uranium policy pursued from the first applications for exploration of critical minerals until 2022, when the arbitration case was brought. The coverage must deal with relevant decisions and materials for use in the decisions.
- Particular focus is wanted on whether Inatsisartut has been in possession of all relevant information regarding the consequences of the Uranium Act and the risk that the Self-Government could try to incur liability for damages before Inatsisartut considered and adopted the Uranium Act at the autumn meeting 2021.
The Audit Committee's report with the desire for an investigation is to be considered today in Inatsisartut. Naalakkersuisut states in a response note that it will prepare a cover, as desired by the committee.
