Having a ferret around the changing gog website, I've come across a few things which I didn't know, but you guys might:

re Paranta (5 to 10 mcfd & 75 barrels of condensate):

In addition to the earlier Smegsy-1 well, Great Artesian drilled Paranta-1 well in February and March 2004. This well encountered several potential hydrocarbon zones. Subsequent production testing has confirmed in Paranta-1 that the interval 2885-2889 flowed gas at a rate of 1.86 million cubic feet per day and condensate at a rate of 75 barrels per day through a 1 inch choke, after an initial clean-up flow of between 5 and 10 million cubic feet per day.

In order to further evaluate the prospectivity of this region, a follow-up 3D seismic survey, of 85 sq km, was undertaken in October 2005. Although the final processing has yet to be completed, preliminary interpretation of this survey data – the Paranta 3D Seismic Survey, indicates that there is potential for an “up-dip” location on the Paranta structure. In addition, several other “up-dip” locations are identified on structures previously drilled (Nutmeg-1 and Double Jay-1) in addition to the recognition of a number of previously unrecognized structures. Several drillable prospects are anticipated to be delineated as a result of this survey, once final processing and interpretation is completed in Q1 2006.

It is transported by pipeline to Moomba approximately 60 km to the east where it is refined into its various components. Great Artesian receives payment for its sales gas, LPG and condensate components.

Flow rates have been choked back because of tanker limitations.

The Kiana-1 discovery opens up a potential new petroleum exploration “play” in that the producing horizons lie within the Permian portion of the geological section, much deeper than the Eromanga reservoirs which are the main producers of the surrounding Jack Lake Oil Fields. This implies that there may be potential for locating other deeper oil charged reservoirs skirting the flanks of existing oil fields within and surrounding PEL 107.
