I don't think anyone thought there was only $69k in the bank. However, people were alleging some kind of conspiracy to explain why news services reported this figure, so I thought it needed to be pointed out that the mistake originated in MSB's 6-K.
So it's not some underhand scheme led by shorters, it was just an error by the company, and ultimately of no consequence. Also, the "going concern warning" had nothing to do with the erroneous $69k figure - I believe that is just a standard warning, required whenever a US-listed company has less than 12 months' cash runway. The same text has appeared in every quarterly SEC filing from MSB since last August. Again though, why get worked up when news services report what the company itself has written in multiple SEC filings?
