While DCC is somehow connected to cryptos, as they hold and got paid in such way, you do not need to look at it too close. The core business is not only about cryptos and while they rode the wave of cryptos initially to get some $$, they are now differentiating offering also other services.

The reason the market wants you to think cryptos and DCC are closely linked is of speculative nature, so that when cryptos rise, they pump the story and sell to new/naive investors at high price, while when cryptos are in a bear market, they preach the end of cryptos, so that new/naive investors sell their shares to those who will accumulate.

Once they have accumulated enough shares in the bear market, they will restart pumping with the same old or a new story.
