Not strictly true... you don't know whether shorts are increasing now. What you mean to say is shorts were increasing up to 5 days ago, which is as far as the ASIC report goes, and ASX shorts were increasing heavily up to 3 days ago which I have already mentioned.. Particularly heavy on the Friday and less so yesterday.
Arguably, increasing shorts with no sellers being flushed out could provide support at these levels.
