All way off the point. I have even gone as far as showing you Sector's original posts about his claim there is not a placebo arm. Do you agree with him? The people who gave the trial its title wouldn't.
Fact: it is placebo PLUS SOC. Tell Sector. Unless you agree with him that adding SOC to a placebo means there is no placebo. Why do the investigators use the word placebo? Of course both arms get CS. They might be getting no treatment at all otherwise. Wouldn't help recruitment.
Fact: there is no FDA approved first line therapy. Correct. Check out my use of the word hypothetical. The whole point of the discussion between Sector and me was that IF there was an approved therapy, would he prefer to take a placebo in a trial rather than the approved therapy. He'd rather be a guinea pig in a P2, not even taking the active agent, than take anything from Dr Itescu's lab.
If there's any words being misunderstood here it's by you. It's a perfectly simple question of Sector's choice of treatment for his hypothetical aGvHD could be placebo (oh yeah, plus SOC, which has already been found inadequate, otherwise they wouldn't be suitable trial subjects) in preference to a (at present hypothetical, understand) FDA approved, effective agent. WHEN it might be available, just to show I agree with you.
At least you agree that IF there is an approved, effective product, recruitment will be difficult. All dependent on a yet to be submitted BLA. I don't think anybody needed reminding about that, apart from a few (not "many") unsophisticated enthusiasts..
.........in order for your so-called "risk" to be considered anything other than an unnecessary comment? That's a very presumptuous comment from you. Mine was a particularly relevant comment in answer to a slag off by Sector. Unless you address this context your comment is irrelevant. It refers to the risk Sector is prepared to take in accepting an unknown substance to treat his aGvHD (plus CS of course) instead of a proven, FDA accepted agent. An actual risk, not your supercilious expression "so-called".
Just for interest, what would you do?
There's nothing else to this. Your dissertations have been about something else. Save them and the silly gifs.
