I don't know Pledge but I do know that the answer to the written question "were cash payments awarded for KPIs on milestones in the MEND trial?" was No. It was Geoff Brookes, Chairman of the meeting and of the board and independent director that said no.
I for one believed him.
The question was clear, I think, and the answer was unambiguous. And its on the record. It wouldn't be if it wasn't asked.
I mention this because I presume as a non holder you did not get to attend or hear the meeting. I didn't get to attend or hear the MSB meeting. But holders here on the CYP part of the HotCopper message board did have that chance to hear the "No". Because the question was asked.
Just as asking questions of MSB is available to me or to any prospective shareholder of MSB (its a publicly listed company) so is asking questions of CYP open to you or any prospective holder.
The answers that we will get as prospective holders asking ASX listed company officials in non public forums (like in private phone conversations or emails) where deniability is higher (especially for the first) depends on a variety of things. But its also possible that sometimes we'll get the truth if we ask the question. Sometimes some people do do the right thing.
