Probably out of thin air. That seems to be the MSB corporate strategy, after all - just come up with something out of thin air and pray you can manipulate a group of scientists that your manufacturing process doesn't leave patients a victim of excessive heterogeneity.

It was clearly $100M too much, given how many bums you've managed to jab in the commercial market well-over a decade on. Sounds like a classic SI own-goal.
