I didn't see a comment saying the SP didn't matter? I've only got one poster on ignore.... so I'll put my 2+2 together and suggest it was smarty.
The only thing I'll say on the matter is can you imagine how loudly he'd be crowing if the SP was circa $1.75 right now! He's be talking everyone down about how great everything is because the SP is so high.
SP tanks and suddenly it's who cares, it doesn't matter!
