I wonder why the ramp up in scale? Perhaps providing stemmies for a 448 patient osteo Phase II trial might have something to do with it.
Speaking of Osteo, there is a fair bit of discussion on the RGS forum about a pending but overdue Japanese licensing deal for its Progenza adipose tissue derived MSC product for treating Osteo, which is due to start a Phase II trial. One has to wonder why CYP received funding from the NHMRC for its Phase II trial despite not having focused on this indication whereas RGS just completed a Phase I trial for this indication and is trying to get a deal done. On page 11 of RGS's recent AGM presentation, Cynata's deal with Fujifilm is quoted as an example of significant regen medicine corporate activity in Japan.
