    If you really want to be green you need to wait for Small Modular Nuclear Reactors (SMR's) to come into service and then use them to produce Green Hydrogen. SMR's are probably going to come online around 2030 in many countries and hopefully not long after in Australia.

    If I was an Australian electricity utility I'd start planning now and pushing the government to make the reforms and legislation changes necessary.

    If the government is serious about reaching Zero Carbon then in my opinion nuclear is the only way to go. Hydrogen has to be the number one priority for a clean energy future, not wind turbines and battery packs. Just the amount of rare earths, lithium etc that needs to be mined and processed for the 'electrification' of everything is counterintuitive to a green future.
