In the case of FAR and PCL my interest it is the potential for the Lamu basin off East Kenya and follows the success further south in Mozambique. There have been three offshore wells drilled and a fourth in progress.( not that I think companies like PCL should ever drill offshore- find the acreage and sell/farmdown the prospects) The Mawaba well found 157 feet of gas in a structure is huge ( I think 400 squ km). Not the oil that the market wanted but proved hydrocarbons and they also had oil shows. Anadarko drilled two wells to the East and whilst they did not make a discovery they appear to have found sands which are encouraging them to explore further to the west where they are hoping for better permability.

To me the game there is just beginning off East Kenya.

As for CUE the value is selling the reserves and other acreage.
