Grindstone you are making too much sense for this lot. Of course it is a land cartel with government backing which over decades has backed itself into a corner and is now trying to slowly deflate the whole sham which may well blow up. The developers have no shortage of land for subdivision here in Perth but they work in collusion to slowly feed the market and funnily enough when it suits them they blame the government for delays. That is when they are trying to rush the market. My wife has worked for land developers it is a rort unless you are in on it.
