IMHO the oppies are rightly carrying little or no time value.
If GMI declares a dividend this year, and there's no reason why it wouldn't, remember that the dividend is only paid to shareholders and not optionholders. Therefore the value of the options decrease a little, while the head share values increase. If say a 3c dividend was declared this 3c is being paid out of assets that GMIO optionholders is entitled to. To use an extreme case, if tomorrow GMI was paying $1.00 in dividends the NTA would fall to approx $1.00 and the options would see a fall in value as a direct result of the dividend being paid out.
So, long story short - IMHO not all options deserve an automatic time value premium.
