Deflationary and it becomes in this order... assets with yield then assets that just retain value. With the threat of rate hikes we can strike off bonds from the list as they will lose value. Similarly, property demand goes down and property loses value. This leaves high yield stocks but for how much longer. The Hang Seng just lost 3 trillion of both yield and growth stocks. A few more of those and everyone will come home to gold... silver... platinum. But nought so far. It feels like the market has learnt to meditate and has found inner peace. The longer we go without our gold rally the more I feel it is overdue.
