Hockey has never step foot in WA! Subiaco, the land of the yuppie and not far from West Perth (land of explorer offices) are peppered with "for lease" signs. I haven't seen that in awhile. Most engineering consultants lucky enough to be with a job are usually on reduced hours. Fly in Fly out are not sought after positions anymore simply because there are more redundancies than newly created positions. I would say the down cycle is in full swing here if you ignore the Syd property bubble.
