How much more polarized views do you need here? There are basically two convicted bias views that you can read up on their constant postings here. There can only be one winner at the end, whatever 'the end' actually means. Some like myself are more flexibility as we swing between biases as evidence unfolds. I try not to fall into the category of knowing where things will go.

If you have loaded to you eye balls in gold or gold stocks as opposed to those who jammed their portfolio in dividend papers then sit there to wait for that massive windfall pay day, do you think their views and reasoning are constructive and balanced? The mind set of Bush's 'You are either with us or against us' is ever present here. I am supposed to be a perma bear to numb nut head depending on what I post. That is ok, I don't mind since I only try as you say to make inform guess rather than that almighty know the truth type. Maybe gold is a religion! Hmm.
