Sentiment is a fickle thing, as gold nears to what I say is an unnatural position against other assets.

All it takes is that tiny spark to shift sentiment all over again. The announcement today about a possible downgrade of the US$ is the sort of thing which if it were a little later down the path could spark that sentiment change. But no matter another catalyst will pop up and we can be sure the head scratchers will be saying “how could that have happened? Gold was dead right?"
