One day the world will realise the true value of gold, which is purely based on its rarity, beauty, etc. But I believe its value is all in our minds and nothing more. What makes a pack of footy cards valuable? Someone wanting them more than you!

Like I said, the world will one day discover its true worth. Soon though I will ride it bare back when it gets back into an uptrend, but I'll be quick to jump off the minute it turns around.

Imagine some country saying "Look at all that gold we've got" but has nothing else to show for it as no-one is interested anymore. Just like the bower bird that collects blue ornaments to attract female birds, we are no different. We like shiny stuff - that's it. The is no other use for it except in jewellery and electronics (and a few other things I'm sure, like a paper weight). Get over it!
