If they raise rates to combat inflation it will cause a colapse due to the amount of debt, which will be good for gold. To get in front of inflation they would have to raise rates to be real positive, over 6%? It will be interesting to see how it plays out but I'm of the opinion gold will catch a decent bid over the next 2 years. Based on volatility when the Fed does something or if the Fed does nothing and inflation takes hold. I see either scenario as good for gold.
