People are substituting currency for commodities, gold, silver, coal, wheat, cotton, copper, etc etc.
Commodities in this environment have become a safe haven. Many commodities are outperforming gold. Take a look at nickel.
The difference with gold you dont have the same price swing and crash. Other commodities are so high at the moment they are a risk.
