The risk of all out war hasn't been this high since the Cuban missile crisis, what did gold do? It went up couple of hundred bucks. Inflation at least in US dollar terms hasn't been this high with rates this negative since the 1970's, what did gold do? It went up couple of hundred bucks. Rates have spiked, yield curve inverted (and uninverted), what did gold do? Not much. Time to throw away the Kaynesian monetary book.
