re: the rumour......gold & a nuclear strike... NY being nuked is a far stretch of the imagination. But if somehow it did occur, the world would not be a pretty place to live in. Nothing else needs to be said. Forget about trying to make money out of it, spending that money would not be enjoyable. The whole economic equation would be turned upside down.
