Another method of calling a trend is if the price stays above the previous years close . At the moment it appears to be bouncing off the top of the closing bar for 2013 . [top red line]
The lower red line is the close of 2013 approx . This method works best in up trending markets as price reverts to where it came from but never followed gold close enuff to know if it will cause a major bounce here or just minor .
