good for you john .......I don't really mind if the price of gold goes up so long as the couple of shorts on gold producers that I now have go down (a bit hard for both to happen at the same time though)
at some point in this current downward trend of the gold price the higher cost miners will have to close down production, and go out of business leaving the lower cost miners in a more advantageous position with regard supply / demand position.... at what price level this happens who knows .??
