Hey Danny I'm on the NSW Central Coast, so a pretty big drive to the gold fields. About 5 hours from my place to any decent NSW prospects, so I don't get out often enough. This will be my biggest gold detecting expedition, I leave in a week for a 2 week round trip to the Golden Triangle. I'm starting off around Bendigo, but plan to try a few different areas. Castlemaine, Dunnolly, Moliagul, Rheola and The Whipstick are on my wish list. I have a GDX 6000 and for backup, if the 6000 malfunctions, an Equinox 800, which I really don't want to rely on. I'm dreaming of a Big nugget, and my research indicates the Dunnolly, Moliagul, Rheola zone has produced a lot of those, so I'll probably focus there. 360 OZ WOW! I don't really expect to find much, but I love the treasure hunt and the bush. I've found a few nuggets, so I do know it's a buzz to dig up a good one! I haven't sent a private message here b4, but if you could get away for a day or a few we'll work it out.
