Central Coast of NSW is awesome, I hope one day that ill end up around the area enjoying the stable weather and the not so damn cold winters of Melbourne. Ive wanted to try the 6000 ever since it came out, seems like a good bit of kit. I actually was intending on buying the 7000 but was turned off when the lady at the shop asked if I like digging 6 foot deep holes, and if you know what the ground is like in most of the Golden Triangle It was a hard No from me. lol.
Supposedly plenty of gold still around the area, and the 6000 is picking up a lot that the older machines have missed, but I just don't get out like I want to either unfortunately as I spend a lot of my free time in Asia, as I have a Vietnamese Fiancé.
Id really love to get out with you mate, but I am really swamped with work as I've had to make a few major changes to my business of late unfortunately.
Even at $300oz he set himself up for life (a bit like SPR has done for many here) He still owns quite a bit of it still including a nug just over 2kg.
A funny story to go along with it, after the first day of detecting, they layed their score out on the bonnet of one of their vehicles and continued to get blind drunk and falling asleep leaving everything on the bonnet, thinking the other one had put it away lol. Lucky it was a quiet camp site they were at.
Have you been down to Hill End and the Mudgee area for a swing? That was my last real detecting trip in 2023 unfortunately.
