What if the last few days has been just a skirmish in the bigger picture! How does anyone know what will happen next week, next month, in 3 months or 6 months, etc.
The markets may be calm now but look what happen before the GFC - Bear Stearns collapse happened in mid March 2008 but the major problems emerged 6 months later in mid September 2008 with the collapse of Lehman! Before Bear Stearns there were also issues in markets.
The authorities may have stabilised markets for now but will then be maintained.
The Yen carry trade is massive and this may just be the start of its unwinding
My points are:
1. we really have no idea what happens next
2. are we just at the start of something big happening or not and even if we are we have no idea when the next big event will happen
