I find it hilarious the article states "if" the US tips into recession, given the ridiculous discrepancy between US BLS labour data and layoffs from huge US employers like challenger (and the federal deficit) makes it patently obvious the US has likely been in very sharp contraction for damn near 12 months. Let's not forget the last labour revisions for the year 2008 came in 2018!! The data revisions are going to be biblical a lot of fund managers are going to get caught out.
