Just chuck in a 2 MTPA ball mill in place of the SAG mill use the same electrics , and forget about any need for regrind , as looks like they are only interested in fresh ore now - wonder how I came to that pearl of wisdom ?
The strategies are moving targets though as every time you think there is a plan they hit more ore which has to push up the tonnage per annum .
Yes if Simon had rushed into putting in a decline earlier it would have been from surface in the wrong place so same situation with needing to bide time on the mill decision .
