Thanks for sharing 2Luke. Many years ago, I found myself piling the majority of my capital into one share as literally a dozen other investments disappointed. It was the worst run imaginable, and when that final holding (which was reasonably illiquid) reported poorly and suspended its dividend (totally unexpected), the downfall was complete - seven years of hard work thrown away. Thankfully, I had just enough common sense to protect what I had left and start again. Nothing beats a portfolio of quality, well researched shares and sensible exposure limits reflecting your personal risk tolerance. Let compounding do its magic work and opportunities to let loose on individual plays (within a much larger portfolio) will come again. It’s still a privilege and a blessing to get rich slow.
